HYGROSMART®-FER is a polymer-modified cement mortar containing corrosion inhibitors intended for:

  • Protecting reinforcing steel against corrosion in concrete structures.
  • Protection of reinforcing bars during structural concrete repairs .
  • Use as a bonding layer between old and new concrete or mortar.

  • 2.0 kg/m² per 1 mm of thickness .

PACKAGING


  • 1 kg, 4 kg bucket (colour: white, after mixing with water – blue).

CLEANING


  • Clean tools with water immediately after application .
  • Once dry, the product can only be removed mechanically .

STORAGE PERIOD


  • 12 months in a dry place, at a temperature of 5-25°C .

CERTIFICATION


  • EN 1504-07 – product compliant with the standard for the protection of concrete and reinforcement.
  • ISO 9001/14001 & ISO 45001 .

APPLICATION


  • Preparation of the substrate:
    • Reinforcing steel must be cleaned of rust (sandblasting or wire brush).
    • Concrete should be free of dust, oil, loose particles and release agents.
  • Mixing:
    • Gradually add HYGROSMART®-FER to the water and mix mechanically.
    • Mixing ratio: 30% water by weight of product.
  • Application:
    • As an anti-corrosion coating:
      • Apply with a brush in two layers .
      • First layer: 1 mm thick .
      • Second layer: after the first one has dried.
    • As a bonding bridge:
      • Apply in one layer, 2 mm thick .
      • Apply new mortar or concrete within 6-24 hours .
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C .
